Cushing, Jr., president of NYSCC, said, “We have selected you for panel participation because of your personal commitment to conservation, your extensive knowledge of issues, and the importance of your organization to the conservation movement in New York.”&lt;br /&gt;Carpenter will address the topic: “Aquatic Habitats: Protection and Restoration, Hatcheries, or Both?” as part of the annual legislative meeting of the New York State Conservation Council, the largest and most influential organization of sportsmen in the state.&lt;br /&gt;New York Rivers United is an award-winning not-for-profit 501(c)(3) membership organization working throughout New York State to improve water quality, river access, recreational opportunities, ecological diversity, scenic attributes and riparian land use.&lt;br /&gt;Founded in 1992 "to conserve, protect and restore New York's rivers," New York Rivers United has established itself as the leading statewide advocate for New York's river resources and is recognized today as a state and national leader in the specialized&lt;br /&gt;field of hydropower relicensing.&lt;br /&gt;NYRU’s principal program is its work to restore rivers that have been degraded by hydropower dams. Advantages ot using Blogger for this include:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;It will be integrated into a page on the new Website. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The staff just needs access to the web in order to post to the website (hopefuly). &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;They can also take advantage of the blogger posting software interface and archiving features. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The press, board members and organization members can subscribe and automatically get emails when a new press release is posted.
